Yahoo Q2 earnings fall 18% as company ends proxy fight

Yahoo's second-quarter earnings dropped 18% to $131 million, or 9 cents a share, from $161 million, or 11 cents a share, a year ago. Tuesday's earnings release came one day after shareholder-activist Carl Icahn called off a proxy fight to replace Yahoo's board with his slate of directors and oust CEO Jerry Yang.
