DIY passenger entertainment could be money saver for airlines

As passengers increasingly rely on personal electronic devices during flight, airlines could save money by cutting back on public entertainment options, according to analysts. Wi-Fi, USB ports and electrical sockets allow fliers to access computers, music players and other devices throughout even the longest flights, possibly rendering in-flight entertainment systems redundant.
