Florida school for children with severe medical problems gets reprieve

The Florida Department of Education will not close a school for children with severe medical problems. The Miami-Dade school was on a state watch list for getting several "F" grades for student performance on assessment tests. After news stories of the school's rating and possible closure, the state changed its grade to "incomplete," pending a review of policies on school grades for hospital and homebound programs.
