New runway boosts O'Hare on-time arrivals by 27%

A new runway is credited with helping the nation's second-busiest airport improve on-time arrivals by 27% over the previous year -- twice the improvement of any other major U.S. airport. It has been eight months since Chicago's O'Hare Airport started using its newest runway. Over that stretch O'Hare has enjoyed more above-average on-time arrivals than airports in Dallas, Atlanta and Denver, according to FlightStats.com.
