TSA is on track for 100% cargo screening on passenger flights

Five years after the 9/11 Commission blasted U.S. cargo-screening procedures, the Department of Homeland Security now checks 98% of imported cargo for signs of radiation, a new report says. On passenger airlines, screeners check all baggage and 95% of freight, and TSA should achieve its goal of 100% screening by next month, as mandated by Congress, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
