Arts, nutrition are part of summer program at special-needs school

Students with special needs at a New Jersey school are participating in a half-day summer program designed to keep students learning and boost their socialization during the summer. Activities at the Regional Day School include daily cooking classes and a recent performance by an award-winning children's musician. "What we are teaching them to do is how to behave and what actions are acceptable and what actions are not acceptable, as well as expose them to the arts," one instructor said.
