Aviation industry continues to address ash threat

Three months after a volcano in Iceland nearly shut down aviation across Europe, plane makers and regulators are working toward industry-wide standards for safe operations under ash-cloud conditions. Pilots have been urged to avoid "visible ash" until better detection systems can be installed in airplane cockpits.
