District considers more early dismissals to allow for training

Florida's Hillsborough County school district is considering dismissing school early one day each week so that teachers can participate in peer mentoring and evaluations. The district has released students early two days per month. District and union officials say the proposal is part of the district's plan to comply with new reform initiatives funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
