Foreign language focus begins in kindergarten at Ohio school

Parents of kindergartners at a private Catholic school in Hyde Park, Ohio, will have to pick a foreign language that their children will learn through 12th grade. The school is offering a choice of Spanish or French. Parents and school officials say a previous approach that had young students switch languages after three years was keeping children from becoming fluent.
