Gas company can resume drilling, say W.Va. regulators

AB Resources has been told it can get back to work after a June 7 blast at a drilling site in West Virginia. Regulators said a drill bore struck an empty mine, detonating built-up methane. They downplayed the gas company's role in the accident but said exploratory operations would be given new guidelines on how to handle encounters with mine voids.
