Health reform offers new long-term care insurance

A provision in the health reform law, called the Community Living Assistance Services and Support program, would help older people and their families pay the expenses of long-term care. CLASS establishes a voluntary, government-run insurance program to provide lifetime benefits to employed adults who become functionally disabled. No benefits can be paid until five years after qualified individuals enroll in the program.
