Additional states adopt the affiliate nexus tax

Maine, Minnesota and Missouri recently passed affiliate nexus tax laws, which require out-of-state merchants to collect sales tax if a significant number of local sales are generated by in-state affiliate marketers. They join 10 other states -- including California, Rhode Island and New York -- that already have similar laws on the books.
