Best Western's mobile campaign to encourage bookings is geofenced around its own locations as well as around airports and competitors' locations. "Travelers are now waiting until they are on the freeway to book. By leveraging location-based mobile advertising, hoteliers can capture these last-minute bookings by engaging travelers in proximity to their locations," said Sarah Hodkinson, director of marketing and sales strategy at PayPal Media Network, which is working on the campaign.
