Brown plans bill targeting overdraft fees

Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, is planning legislation that would target banks' practice of rearranging customers' transactions to maximize overdraft fees. He would require banks to disclose their overdraft practices, he said. "It's just too bad these mega banks, these Wall Street banks look for every opportunity to extract every single cent they can from working-class, low-income and middle-class consumers," Brown says.
