FDA clears ceiling-mounted CT scanner from IMRIS

The FDA has cleared IMRIS to market its Visius iCT system, a 64-slice CT scanner that the company says delivers diagnostic-quality imaging and customized dose management during surgery. The device uses ceiling-mounted rails to allow it to be moved easily within and outside the operating room during surgical procedures.
