Freddie sells $500 million in mortgage derivatives

Freddie Mac sold $500 million worth of Structured Agency Credit Risk notes on Tuesday, as the government-controlled company tries to shift some of the risk it owns to private investors. "Freddie Mac is actively working on developing credit risk sharing initiatives that can help us manage residential credit risk," said a Freddie spokeswoman.
