Ind. city council agrees to subsidize brewery construction

The Hammond, Ind., City Council has unanimously authorized a 28,000-square-foot restaurant and brewery, which will begin construction by September. The city is providing $3.5 million in incentives for the $10 million project, an effort that the owners say was crucial to their decision to build in Hammond.
