Mi Pueblo seeks Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection

Mi Pueblo Food Centers has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, citing a dispute with its primary secured creditor, Wells Fargo. The California chain says it will not close any of its 21 locations or lay off any of its 3,000 employees. "We're committed to being able to continue with our business and will come out stronger," spokeswoman Perla Rodriguez said.
