New index is designed to help educators pick the best digital tools

A color-coded index is designed to help school leaders and educators judge the quality of new educational technology by rating it based on pedagogy, system change and tech quality. Pearson Executive Director Katelyn Donnelly, who co-authored the "open source" index along with University of Toronto professor emeritus Michael Fullan, said the resource also can help developers in designing products for educational use as well as investors in considering the potential effects of new technology.
