Apple iOS devices continue to lead the mobile world in most important metrics, according to ad network Opera's State of Mobile Advertising Report for the second quarter. Apple devices scarfed up more than 43% of all Web traffic and nearly half of all revenue. Samsung-dominated Android devices commanded more than 31% and 28% on the same fronts. Meanwhile, global mobile growth now means U.S. ad impressions have decreased below 50%, though that market still accounts for nearly three quarters of all ad revenue generation, Darrell Etherington writes.
