ALung Technologies has obtained about $14.7 million from 48 undisclosed backers, part of a funding round aiming for $17 million. The Pennsylvania-based company is expected to use the money to finance a U.S. study of its Hemolung respiratory-assist device, which already is being marketed in Canada and Europe, according to this article.
