Rain raises flood risk in fire-hit areas of Southern Calif.

Recent downpours have helped firefighters in containing a Southern California wildfire that burned seven homes near the town of Idyllwild. But authorities issued an evacuation warning for about 20 homes outside the town as rain increased the flooding risk and possibility of mudslides in places recently affected by wildfires.
