Senate panel votes to increase SEC budget by $353M

The Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government has approved a measure to grant the Securities and Exchange Commission its full budget request for fiscal 2014, a 33% increase. The House's version of the bill is about $300 million less generous.
