Study: Majority of smartphone owners buy online while in stores

A majority of U.S. smartphone owners use their devices often to buy from online retailers while they're in a physical store, according to Parago, a company that provides incentives for retailers. The study also found that Amazon is the most popular online destination for price comparisons, with a price differential as little as $5 working in the online giant's favor.
