Taiwan reports fifth straight month of falling industrial output

Defying forecasts, Taiwan's industrial output declined 0.43% year-on-year in June and plunged 4.67% from May, with slower activity recorded across a wide array of sectors. June marked the fifth consecutive month of decline, with analysts pointing to poor global demand and the weak Japanese yen.
