Union leader seeks parents' support to improve policies

In her keynote address at Monday's American Federation of Teachers' TEACH professional-development conference, the union's president, Randi Weingarten, said that current education policies are on the wrong track. Citing results of a recent poll, Weingarten said the union planned to enlist parents to make changes because of their dissatisfaction with the education system.
