Volvo reveals plan for car-mounted "solar-powered pavilion"

Volvo has revealed plans for a "solar-powered pavilion" that can unfold from the trunk of an electric vehicle, essentially allowing EVs to carry their own portable charging station. The catch? At 60,000 euros apiece, the prototypes would cost more than the cars they're designed to charge. "There are no current plans to make the structures available to the consumer market," says designer Alvin Huang.
