High sodium intake may raise heart risk in diabetes

Type 2 diabetes patients in the highest quartile of sodium intake were more than twice as likely as those in the lowest quartile to develop cardiovascular disease, according to a Japanese study in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism.
