CDC: More older children diagnosed with ADHD

From 1997 to 2006, ADHD diagnoses in the U.S. for 12- to 17-year-olds grew on average 4% annually while diagnoses of younger children plateaued, according to a new CDC report. Overall, nearly 4.5 million school-aged children and teens have been diagnosed with the disorder.
