RadNet purchases imaging center, plans to add PET scanner

RadNet has acquired the NeuroSciences Imaging Center in Newark, Del., a facility that offers specialized services such as CT angiography with 3D reconstruction and stereotactic tumor mapping. RadNet plans on upgrading the facility's CT unit to a PET/CT scanner, which will be used for cutting-edge neuro-imaging, routine oncologic capabilities and the diagnosis of Alzheimer's and other degenerative brain diseases.
