New building, data and individualized instruction boost achievement

A Nevada elementary school that met requirements under No Child Left Behind this year for the first time in five years benefited from a new building complete with the latest classroom technology, educators say. The state Education Department established a support team for the school, educators used testing data to focus on individual student needs, and students spent 45 minutes each day reading.
