North American methanol price increases are expected in August

Methanol prices in North America are expected to increase in August by as much as 10 cents a gallon as the U.S. housing market and exports to China see slight recoveries. The spot-to-contract price gap has been narrowing, and the announcement of Southern Chemical and Methanex contract prices in August is expected to spur a price increase.
