Ex-"Golden Archer" aims for eco-friendly fast food

Lyfe Kitchen wants to do for organic, ethically produced food what McDonald's did for burgers and fries. Founded by former McDonald's president and COO Mike Roberts, the company aims to use efficiencies pioneered in the quick-service industry to make sustainable food economically viable at scale. 'We're in the middle of the first stage of the food revolution,' Roberts said. 'I'm dreaming of a place where science, medicine, producers, farmers and restaurateurs meet to say we are on a journey together.'
