ACA wellness incentives spur companies to make changes

Companies may put more emphasis on preventive health care because of wellness incentive provisions of the Affordable Care Act, said Aetna's head of wellness program strategy and development Paul Coppola. Jamie Eden, HR director of Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, said that the company is consolidating its wellness initiatives to focus on those with the greatest financial incentives and that the ACA could have a significant effect on employers.
