Apple's iPad dominates tablet Web traffic and ad impressions

Apple's iPad commanded 84.3% of all tablet-generated Web traffic in the U.S. and Canada in June, surpassing second-place Amazon Kindle Fire's 5.7%, according to data from Chitika. The figures, based on ad impressions, show the iPad gaining 2 percentage points over May and most other tablets declining in that metric. Barnes & Noble's Nook took fourth place, behind the Samsung Galaxy Tab, probably because of a successful Father's Day promotion, this article notes.
