Bills to protect cruise passengers are introduced in Congress

Legislation that seeks to raise consumer awareness and protection in the cruise industry has been introduced in the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives. The Senate bill was proposed by Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va., and aims to give oversight of the cruise industry to the Transportation Department.
