Cold-calling continues to help advisers to bring in business

Cold-calling is considered an outdated practice at many financial advisory firms, but Matt Belfanti, a vice president at Beacon Pointe Advisors, says picking up the phone and asking for business is still a good way to recruit new clients. The competition for acquiring clients over the phone is easing because so many advisers don't cold-call anymore, he says.
