Electronic Arts says Apple has become its top digital partner

Electronic Arts says it now sells more games through digital sales than from the brick-and-mortar stores such as Gamestop that were once its mainstay, John Paczkowski writes. As a result, Apple has become its top digital partner, the company said. The impressive feat for Apple comes in advance of an iPhone game-controller -- expected in iOS 7 -- and Apple TV game support. "The threat right now is that Apple has gained a huge amount of market share, and has a relatively obvious pathway towards entering the living room with their platform," Valve publisher Gabe Newell says.
