Google taps SendGrid for App Engine, adds Play Game Services app

Google is supporting SendGrid's non-native e-mail application programming interface, allowing developers to add e-mail capability to apps running on the Google App Engine, Barb Darrow writes. The move should increase delivery rates and make GAE a more competitive platform-as-a-service. In other news, Google is releasing a native Android application called Play Games, connecting gamers at a central hub, Jeffrey Grubb writes. The app integrates information from Google+ to show users what their connected gamer friends are playing, for example.
