Iowa secretary of agriculture touts importance of ethanol industry

The ethanol industry is important for Iowa's economy, prompting job creation and demand for corn, Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey said. "When you look around the state, we have 41 ethanol plants -- a huge industry. ... We used to ship a lot of corn out of this area to other parts of the state or other parts of the world. Now we're able to use that here and use local folks to process it."
