Landing incident at LaGuardia prompts airlines to waive change fees

Temporary runway closures at LaGuardia Airport in New York in the wake of a landing-gear incident involving a Southwest Airlines plane prompted United Airlines and Delta Air Lines to waive change fees on some flights. United's waiver covers flights at LaGuardia only, while Delta waived fees at LaGuardia as well as at White Plains, Newburgh, JFK and Newark airports.
