Lawmaker: Lawn mower makers' "jobs at stake" under RFS

A two-day hearing on the Renewable Fuel Standard at the House Energy and Commerce Committee Subcommittee on Energy and Power has included representatives from various industries to assess the impact of the mandate. Briggs & Stratton has been included in the second panel, along with the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers and others. "Many businesses and many jobs are at stake -- from corn farmer to refinery worker to gas station employee to lawn mower maker to ethanol plant worker," Rep. Ed Whitfield, R-Ky., said in an opening statement.
