Master digital before traditional avenues, startup investor says

Marketers should take advantage of online media options and master social, mobile and search tactics before they move to more traditional campaigns for multichannel approaches, said Dave McClure, founding partner of seed funder 500 Startups, at last week's International Startup Festival in Montreal. Companies that lack digital marketing skills will likely not be profitable and will struggle to find investors, McClure said.
