Mich. district to create challenging middle-grades program

Ypsilanti, Mich., Community Schools this fall will create a challenging, engaging learning community for fifth- to eighth-grade students interested in an unofficial International Baccalaureate program in high school. "It's engaging, satisfying work and they will get a lot out of it," said Washtenaw International High School principal Lambert Okma, who said the district will start the official IB application process in the fall of 2014.
