NAFLD resolution lowers diabetes risk in study

A South Korean study in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism found nonalcoholic fatty liver disease patients whose disease was resolved over a five-year period were no longer at increased risk of developing diabetes. However, patients whose NAFLD worsened over five years showed a significantly increased risk of diabetes, researchers found.
