N.C. eye bank supports cornea research, fellowship

The North Carolina Eye Bank is putting $50,000 toward the cornea fellowship and cornea research program at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center's Wake Forest Eye Center. "Corneas are among the most transplanted tissues in the United States. It is crucial that those in training today become familiar with eye banking," said Dr. Craig M. Greven, leader of the ophthalmology department at the hospital.
