Nvidia touts major smartphone graphics advance with Tegra 5 processor

The forthcoming Tegra 5 mobile processor will provide advanced graphics capabilities, such as augmented reality and image recognition, for smartphones and tablet computers when Nvidia begins to ship the chip next year, the company disclosed Wednesday. Code-named Project Logan, the Tegra 5 will boast a graphics core that was not previously incorporated into Nvidia's processors.
