OMA-led team wins design bid for $600M development plan in Miami

An OMA-led group of architecture firms has secured the design bid for an estimated $600 million plan for the Miami Beach Convention Center. The proposed design for the 52-acre project involves reorienting the structure and includes a mix of old and new elements. "In short, our plan upgrades the convention center into a best-in-class facility and w[e]aves the entire convention center site into the fabric of Miami Beach. It will feel both new and like it was always there," the group said.
