Rail expansion in Mont. allows coal firm to gain more business

A new wye track in Hardin, Mont., that connects to the BNSF mainline has provided Westmoreland Coal with more business and will allow it take better advantage of its location in the north Powder River Basin, according to Westmoreland Coal officials. BNSF service to the new line will increase market opportunities for coal from the Absaloka Mine, the company said.
