Report explores methods for early-childhood instruction

Early-childhood and early-intervention programs would benefit from employing more group-based activities and conversation-based learning, according to a new report by the Institute of Education Sciences. Researchers found that many such programs are not using research-supported methods. The report offers ideas for implementing these -- and other -- instructional methods in early-childhood settings.
